The protection of your personal data is very important to us. In this privacy policy we inform you, transparently and in an understandable way, which data we collect via our website and how we handle it.

6. General principles — 6.1 Which data do we collect from you and from whom do we receive it?

Primarily, we process personal data that you transmit to us or that we collect when operating our website. In some circumstances, we also receive personal data about you from third parties. This may include the following categories:

  • Contact data (mobile number, email address, etc.).

7. Individual data processing operations — 7.1 Processing within our website — 7.1.1 Visiting our website

7.1.2 Use of cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do no harm to your device and contain no viruses, Trojans or other malware.

For questions of any kind, we offer you the option of contacting us via a form provided on the website. This requires providing a valid email address, so that we know who the enquiry is from and can respond to it. Further information may be provided voluntarily. The data processing for the purpose of contacting us takes place under Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR on the basis of your voluntarily given consent.

7.1.4 Use of Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps API to display geographic information visually. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about visitors' use of the map functions. You can find further information about data processing by Google in Google's privacy notices. There, in the data protection centre, you can also change your personal privacy settings. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings and easy findability of the locations we indicate on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

7.2 Processing within your customer relationship with us — 7.2.1 Conclusion and performance of the contract

We process your personal data if and to the extent that it is necessary for the establishment, performance or termination of a contractual relationship between you and us.

7.2.2 Customer account

If you create a customer account via our website, we process the master data you provide, in particular your name and email address. You can delete a voluntary customer account at any time by contacting us. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your data is necessary for the performance of the contract, or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR if you have given us your consent.

7.2.3 Newsletter dispatch

With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The goods and services advertised are named in the declaration of consent. For registration to our newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after your registration we send an email to the email address provided, asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within [48 hours], your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store the IP addresses you use and the times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of the procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, where applicable, to clarify any possible misuse of your personal data. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing further, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe. You can declare the withdrawal by clicking the link provided in every newsletter email, by email to the address stated in the legal notice, or by a message to the contact options mentioned above.

7.3 Processing within your membership of one of our services — 7.3.1 Registration for a service

If you register for one of our services, we process the master data you provide, in particular your name and email address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your data is necessary for the performance of the contract, or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR if you have given us your consent.

7.3.2 Members' area

Unless there are statutory retention obligations, your data will be deleted after the conclusion of the application procedure. Your personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.

8. Your rights — 8.1 What rights do you have?

You have the following rights vis-à-vis us with regard to your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to request confirmation from us as to whether we process personal data concerning you and, if so, to receive information about this personal data and the information stated in Art. 15 GDPR.

  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data if one of the conditions stated in Art. 18 GDPR is met.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit this data to another controller without hindrance from us, provided the conditions in Art. 20 GDPR are met.
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time.
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR): You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you, provided the conditions in Art. 21 GDPR are met.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement, if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR.

8.2 How can you exercise your rights?

Exercising your rights is generally free of charge and can be done in text form. For identification, it may be necessary for us to request further information from you. Please address your request to the address stated in the legal notice or by email to info@jaucait.ch.

8.3 How long does it take for us to respond to your request?

We will respond to your requests without delay, but at the latest within one month of receiving your request. Should responding to your request take more time, we will inform you of this and tell you the reason for the delay.

9. Security measures

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorised access, unauthorised disclosure or alteration. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

10. Updating the privacy policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or in order to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy then applies to your next visit.
